PTDI and Bell Mark Four Decades of Strategic Partnership at IISAR 2026
North Jakarta (July 10) - On the second day of the Indonesia International Search and Rescue (IISAR) 2026 exhibition at the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE), Pantai Indah Kapuk 2, North Jakarta, PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero) (PTDI) held a ceremony marking 40 years of partnership with Bell Textron Inc. (Bell), a symbol of the two companies' continued collaboration in supporting the development of the aerospace industry.
At the ceremony, PTDI's Director of Commerce and Development, Moh. Arif Faisal, presented a plaque titled "Honoring 40 Years of Strategic Partnership" to Bell Textron Inc.'s Business Development Director, Yudhistira Nugraha, witnessed by PTDI's Deputy President Commissioner, Bagus Purohito. The presentation recognized four decades of strategic partnership built on trust and ongoing collaboration between the two companies, and reaffirmed that PTDI and Bell will continue strengthening their synergy in delivering helicopter solutions and supporting the advancement of Indonesia's aerospace industry.
The ceremony was one of PTDI's agenda items during IISAR 2026, which brings together various stakeholders in the Search and Rescue (SAR) sector. IISAR 2026 serves as a collaborative platform bringing together government agencies, industry players, academics, and international partners to present innovations, technologies, products, and services that support SAR operations, disaster response, and humanitarian missions. PTDI's participation in the event reflects the company's commitment to strengthening the national SAR ecosystem through aerospace solutions.

Meanwhile, Business Development Director Yudhistira Nugraha said Bell appreciates the partnership it has built with PTDI over the past four decades. "The relationship between Bell and PTDI has spanned more than four decades. This partnership began with the production of helicopter components for Bell and continued in 2012 with the signing of an Industrial and Commercial Agreement. That agreement gave PTDI the opportunity not only to sell and deliver helicopters, but also to add equipment and configure the Bell 412 to meet the missions required by end users. We are committed to strengthening and expanding our cooperation with PTDI," said Business Development Director Yudhistira Nugraha.
Four Decades of PTDI and Bell Partnership
The PTDI-Bell partnership has grown over four decades through various forms of collaboration in manufacturing, maintenance, and helicopter industry development. This long-standing relationship has become the foundation for the two companies to build a mutually reinforcing partnership that adds value to Indonesia's aerospace industry.
As the partnership has grown, PTDI and Bell have continued to expand the scope of their collaboration through various strategic initiatives. At the Indo Defence 2024 Expo & Forum, held in June 2025, the two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in providing special-mission Bell helicopters for the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) and Indonesian government agencies, with PTDI serving as mission equipment integrator to support various missions, including SAR, medical evacuation, and armed reconnaissance. The agreement also covers the development of after-sales services for Bell helicopter operators in Indonesia, as well as plans to expand the partnership by increasing PTDI's authority in marketing and selling the Bell 505 helicopter and expanding the market for special-mission helicopters across the ASEAN region.
Bell After-Sales Services
Building on this growing partnership, PTDI continues to strengthen its capabilities in providing after-sales services for various Bell helicopter operators in Indonesia. As a Bell Authorized Maintenance Center (AMC), PTDI is part of Bell's official service network, offering Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services, modifications, technical support, warranty services, official spare parts, and various maintenance services in accordance with Bell standards to keep customer fleets operationally ready. Backed by strong facilities, infrastructure, and a competent workforce, PTDI is committed to delivering quality service to Bell operators in Indonesia.
The 40th anniversary celebration of the PTDI-Bell partnership at IISAR 2026 reflects the close collaboration between the two companies in supporting the needs of helicopter operators in Indonesia while driving the development of the national aerospace industry. This spirit aligns with the goals of IISAR 2026 as a platform for synergy among various stakeholders in strengthening readiness for SAR operations, disaster response, and humanitarian missions.
